This is Morton’s (and my) favorite time of year, because the grilling season has officially begun…and it’s also National Steakhouse Month! So I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to take a step back, and talk beef. Beef basics, ‘beef 101,’ beef Q&A.
It’s a topic that’s very familiar to me after 20 years with Morton’s, but I know that beef can be confusing for our guests. So I made a video to help explain where to buy your steaks, what to look for, and how to best prepare your meat. I also wanted to show you pictures of the different cuts, which reminds me of what our guests see during the menu presentation. (Our servers bring out a cart with all our cuts of steak, some seafood and some produce as a ‘show and tell’ before guests pace their order.)
